This part of BS 812 has been prepared under the direction of the Cement, Gypsum, Aggregates and Quarry Products Standards Policy Committee. It describes the method for determining the soundness of aggregates by subjecting the aggregate to cycles of immersion in a saturated solution of magnesium sulphate followed by oven drying. For parts 1, 2, 101-103, 103.2, 105.1, 106, 117, 119-120 and 124 of this standard see IRRD 269286, 269287, 229682, 278567, 278566, 285407, 278567, 278566, 285407, 823308, 828491, 285409, 823309, 2854101, 823310 and 823665 respectively.
