CONSEQUENTIAL EQUIPMENT COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH LACK OF AVAILABILITY AND DOWNTIME

A LAD (lack of availability and downtime) cost model is described that has advanced the state of the practice in many ways. The model is specifically designed to quantify the consequential costs associated with lack of availability and downtime in a particular operating environment. The model acknowledges that consequential costs take many forms and therefore it comprises four interlinked modules able to model any combination of 4 very different consequential categories.
