DECISION-SUPPORT FOR MODELING BID/NO-BID DECISION PROBLEM
The paper presents a decision-support system which is based on the decision-analysis cycle that treats the task of decision making as a 2-stage process. The process is modeled by a deterministic attention-focusing method, followed by a probabilistic decision method. In the context of the bidding problem, the deterministic part is termed the bid/no-bid decision problem and the model presented is termed the deterministic worth-evaluation model. The latter is a weighted additive model. The model is a way of making decisions by quantifying the subjective evaluation and the aspiration level of the bidder.
