1990 COMPREHENSIVE SYSTEM ANALYSIS. VOLUME 2: MAINTENANCE EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The purpose of this 3-volume study was to evaluate the fixed-route bus system and the maintenance program of CITIBUS--a public transportation provider for the City of Lubbock, Texas--and to develop recommendations for improvement. Volume 1--Transit Service Evaluation and Recommendations--includes sections on fixed-route transit, financial and operational scenarios, and fare and cash handling analysis. Volume 2--Maintenance Evaluation and Recommendations--includes an evaluation of existing maintenance procedures currently being used in the CITIBUS operation and analysis of the maintenance facility layout, work flow, small and large tool inventory, parts inventory, personnel resources, and management and control procedures. Volume 3--Maintenance Policies and Procedures Manuals--provides policies and procedures that allow for a well organized and efficient maintenance program; defines responsibilities of all maintenance employees; presents practices to be followed by shop personnel; and job descriptions are presented in Appendix A of this manual.
