CURRICULUM FOR DRIVER TRAINING FOR DRIVING LICENSE OF CLASS 3

CURRICULUM FUER DIE AUSBILDUNG IN DER FAHRSCHULE ZUR FAHRERLAUBNIS DER KLASSE 3

This curriculum was developed for use by the Federal Association of Driving Instructor organisations. It consists of two parts: a curriculum for theoretical instruction and a concept of integrated theory and practice. The curriculum for theoretical instruction places greater emphasis on behaviour-related training and provides a more systematic approach than before. Areas covered include prior conditions for participation in road traffic, the traffic system, its rules and participants and behaviour in traffic. In explaining the concept of integrated theory and practice a new stage has been added covering country, autobahn and darkness driving. Training objectives and training content are derived from the theory and example given for enmeshing theory and practice. For each topic objectives, teaching aids and alternative methods of tuition are given. Also included is a statistical analysis of answers to a questionnaire sent out to driving instructors concerning their acceptance of the Federal Association's stepwise training. This publication was originally published in German by the Bundesverinigung der Fahrlehrerverbaende e V in May 1986.
