RESEARCH IN RESISTANCE AND PROPULSION PART 4: STUDIES ON WAVE INTERFERENCE OF MATHEMATICAL HULL FORMS WITH LARGE BOW BULBS

A comprehensive experimental and theoretical study has been made of the wave-resistance characteristics of the cosine hull forms associated with bow bulbs. These hull forms have previously been investigated by Inui in Japan. The current study, which is based on larger models, confirms, in general, results obtained by him. In addition new conditions of hull and bulb shapes have been investigated. (Author) (See also PB 163816)
