RESEARCH IN RESISTANCE AND PROPULSION PART 1: A PROGRAMME FOR LONG-RANGE RESEARCH ON SHIP RESISTANCE AND PROPULSION
The primary objective of the report is to outline a five-year program of research in the field of ship resistance and propulsion, with emphasis on developments of importance to U.S. merchant shipping. A second objective is to suggest what additional facilities should be planned for if the University conducted research in these fields is to become of importance on a long range basis.
