BASES PARA UN AVALUO DE PAVIMENTOS FLEXIBLES MEDIANTE ENSAYO DE LABORATORIO

At the planning stage of asphaltic concrete surfacings, it is necessary to prevent excessive permanent deformations and fatigue failure of the bituminous surface. A method of forecasting deflections is presented which consists in studying the fatigue failure of the bituminous mixture due to repeated elastic deformations. The laboratory process is based on tests conducted to measure the characteristics of the surfacing such as resiliency modules of elasticity and poisson's coefficient. Deflections are calculated by using burmister and boussinesq solutions. The number of the covering abstract of the annual meeting is irrd abstract no. 100980. /TRRL/
