The following subjects are dealt with: basic advantages of moving test rigs over plate test rigs; constant value of friction with simultaneous relief of the tyre by the use of a hard concrete roll; the controllability of the results of the measurements; the advantages of using a coordinated plotting device with special consideration of the extrapolation of the results of the measurements on vehicles carrying maximum loads, the timing pressure of the driving vehicle and of the trailer braking system being taken into account; use of the pedal force/braking force diagram for cars or vehicles without an extraneous force brake; simple ways of evaluating the automatically plotted braking force diagrams; instructions for the optimum setting up of rolling brake test rigs; and testing of three axled vehicles with and without interim differential.
