DESIGN OF AN EXPERIMENTAL POST-TENSIONED SEGMENTAL CONCRETE BOX GIRDER BRIDGE; SUB-REPORT ON "LETTER SURVEY--STATE OF THE ART" IN THE U.S.A. OF SEGMENTAL CONCRETE BOX GIRDER BRIDGE

The purpose of this survey was to gather information on current design and construction problems, project status, as well as to assess engineering trends and the "state of the art" concerning segmental concrete box girder bridges in the United States. Results were compiled and condensed. Detailed results are incorporated in this report. It was confirmed that a large number of segmental box girder bridges are in the final design - pre-construction stage and many more are in the conceptual stage. /FHWA/
