A SUMMARY OF TRIAL DESIGNS USING THE NAASRA DRAFT BRIDGE DESIGN SPECIFICATION . BRIDGE ENGINEERING WORKSHOP; PROCEEDINGS; 14TH ARRB CONFERENCE, 28 AUGUST - 2 SEPTEMBER 1988, CANBERRA

A limited number of trial designs were carried out within the rca's bridge design group using the naasra draft bridge design specification. Component elements of three types of structure were investigated including a post tensioned voided slab bridge, a composite bulb t beam and slab bridge and a pedestrian overpass. The results obtained using the draft code are compared to the 1976 bridge design specification (a). For the covering record of the workshop, see IRRD no 814823.
