OVERVIEW OF TRIAL DESIGNS BY THE DEPARTMENT OF MAIN ROADS, NSW, TO THE DRAFT NAASRA BRIDGE DESIGN SPECIFICATION . BRIDGE ENGINEERING WORKSHOP; PROCEEDINGS; 14TH ARRB CONFERENCE, 28 AUGUST - 2 SEPTEMBER 1988, CANBERRA

The draft bridge design specification in limit state format was made available to the state road authorities for trial designs in January 1988. Six projects which had each been designed to the 1976 bridge design specification, comprising a range of structural types, were checked using the draft code. An overview of these design comparisons is presented, together with reports on individual projects (a). For the covering record of the workshop, see IRRD no 814823.
