CONVERSION OF NAASRA BDS TO LIMIT STATES FORMAT: FOUNDATIONS, SUBSTRUCTURES AND RETAINING WALLS . BRIDGE ENGINEERING WORKSHOP; PROCEEDINGS; 14TH ARRB CONFERENCE, 28 AUGUST - 2 SEPTEMBER 1988, CANBERRA
Naasra has been for a number of years developing a revised bridge design code in limit states format. A draft code was issued in December 1987 for trial use in parallel with the 1976 document as a precursor to finalising the code in 1989. This paper summarises the background and general philosophy and approach adopted by the subcommittee responsible for foundations, substructures and retaining walls and is put to the workshop for information and comment (a). For the covering record of the workshop, see IRRD no 814823.
