A STUDY OF THE SAFETY OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN A RICH DEVELOPING COUNTRY. PROCEEDINGS - 1ST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ROAD ACCIDENT TRAUMA ON TRANSIT ROUTES, ZAGREB, 21-23 MAY 1987

The paper analyzes traffic accidents caused by public transport vehicles in Kuwait and describes some of their characteristics. Accident rate was found to decrease with time per million bus km. Comparison has been made between public transport accidents and those involving other vehicles. It has been proved that fewer accidents involve public transport and they are much less severe.
