ORGANIZATION OF MEDICAL CARE FOR ROAD USERS INJURED IN ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS, WITH A REVIEW OF TRANSIT TRAFFIC ISSUES. PROCEEDINGS - 1ST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ROAD ACCIDENT TRAUMA ON TRANSIT ROUTES, ZAGREB, 21-23 MAY 1987

The paper describes the organization of the first aid service along main transit roads in Yugoslavia, based on interviews with 44 hospitals located near main roads. It suggests improvements for the first aid service. Special attention is drawn to the decrease in transport time from the place of an accident to the hospital and to adequate primary medical treatment of injured road users.
