EFFECTIVE STRESS ANALYSIS OF UNDRAINED BEHAVIOUR OF PEAT. NUMERICAL MODELS IN GEOMECHANICS. NUMOG III. PROCEEDINGS OF THE 3RD INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM HELD AT NIAGARA FALLS, CANADA, 8-11 MAY 1989
This paper describes an application of the finite element analysis to interpret the undrained behaviour of peat composed of highly compressible fibrous matter. The validity of the analysis is examined by a limited number of comparisons between measured (triaxial tests, and one dimensional consolidation tests) and calculated behaviour of peat.(a) for the covering abstract of this conference see IRRD 824029.
