EVALUATION OF HIGHWAY PLANNING IN LAND DEVELOPMENT . CONFERENCE PAPERS ON THE WORKING DAYS ON TRAFFIC ENGINEERING 1989
EVALUATIE VAN WEGENPLANNEN IN DE LANDINRICHTING
Ever since 1982, the formal preparation procedure for land development plans has included a socio-economic cost-efectiveness analysis of alternative plans. Recently a working group has elaborated upon this method to include studies on the impacts of road improvement. The main impact items incorporated are: the savings of road maintenance costs, road user time, and vehicle costs, and road accident reduction. The experimental application of the new method has been beneficial. Therefore it is advisable to include such studies as part of the planning procedure. (TRRL)
