STRATEGISCHE MOBILITEITSVERKENNING OP NATIONAAL EN REGIONAAL NIVEAU

The importance of a regular study into the mobility for short-and long term policy is generally recognized. More and more national governments execute such a study. The central question here is what is the use of such studies for regional authorities and how can they use existing instruments? An instrument like this study may have several functions: it may be used to find regional particularities from national data and to support verifications of more traditional traffic and transport expectations. For the province of Utrecht it is shown that important discrepancies from the national prognoses may thus arise. (TRRL)
