EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE ON THE PROPERTIES OF SUPERPLASTICIZED CONCRETE
Physico-mechanical properties of the concrete depend on temperature variance. Such changes at elevated temperature are dependent on the constituent of concretes. The paper examines the effects of temperature and exposure time on strength, Poisson's ratio and Young's modulus of elasticity of superplasticized concrete. The results are compared with admixture-free concrete. It is observed that the superplasticized concrete possesses better fire-resistance than the admixture-free concrete.(a)
