DURABILITY OF REINFORCEMENT: INFLUENCE OF CONCRETE STRUCTURE ON THE PERMEABILITY OF THE WATERPROOFING COURSE
TRAJNOST ARMATURE: UTJECAJ STRUKTURE BETONA NA PROPUSNOST ZASTITNOG SLOJA
The article describes the importance of concrete waterproofing courses and reinforcement corrosion caused by the action of chloride and carbonic acid. It shows that physical laws which describe the process of aggressiveness in concrete can serve as a base for the calculation of concrete reinforcement durability and for the design of waterproofing courses. Such processes depend upon concrete porosity. Possible technological solutions for the improvement of concrete structures are outlined.
