HALIDE AND THREE-CALCIUM ALUMINATE ACTIVITY DURING HYDRATION IN CEMENT PASTES WITH THE ADDITION OF SILICA FUME
AKTIVNOST ALITA I TRIKALCIJEVOG ALUMINATA TIJEKOM HIDRATACIJE U CEMENTNIM PASTAMA S DODATKOM SIO2 PRASINE
The article presents methodology and test results of using silica fume as an admixture in cement paste. Test results clearly indicate that the presence of silica fume causes a greater reactivity of halide and C3A, with a passing retardation in the hydration of tricalcium aluminate, which was recorded after three days. More hydration heat was developed in pastes with the addition of silica fume than in the ordinary Portland cement paste.
