INITIAL WORK ON A SYSTEM-INDEPENDENT COMPUTER MODEL OF A 3D ANTHROPOMORPHIC DUMMY

A FORTRAN program which controls the position, orientation, attitude and limb position of a geometric model of the human form is described. Data is generated by the program for the model definition using either classical anthropomorphic data or user supplied information (which may be used for deformities, disabilities and other nonstandard cases). The program may then be used to control any geometric model of the body. As an application example, a model is used for seating studies in a vehicle.(a)
