REFUSE AS A HIGH QUALITY ROAD CONSTRUCTION PRODUCT
AFVAL ALS HOOGWAARDIG WEGENBOUWPRODUCT
This paper reviews the main refuse products produced by our society, and describes how much of each is available, whether they are harmful to the environment or not and whether such materials are usable by civil technical engineers. A great number of materials become available in sufficient quantities to be processed economically. High quality materials for road construction can be composed from some materials such as building rubble and recycled asphalt. It is often shown that there is no clear test for the environmental and hygienical aspects for these materials. It can be concluded that there are important possibilities for applying refuse products and that refuse products can be considered as high quality material for road construction.
