AUSTRALIAN STUDY CONCLUDES CONGESTED ROADS BETTER FOR CITIES
Murdoch University received replies from 31 cities in Australia and around the world with regard to a study they conducted on congestion. It was found that "planned congestion" forces drivers to drive slower and could be beneficial to cities because it could be used to lower car dependency and lower energy use through a better balance among cars, public transport, walking, and bicycling.
