THE MINIBUS SITUATION IN GREAT BRITAIN

The popularity of minibuses has grown in Great Britain to the extent that they have grown from buses which seat a maximum of 16 passengers to those seating 25 to 35 passengers. The concept is that any vehicle based on commercial van or van chassis, which comprises the 35 seaters, qualifies as a minibus. A brief history of minibus designs and operations in Great Britain are given.
