GIANT URBAN CAVERN STRETCHES EXISTING SOFT GROUND LIMITS
The successful excavation of a 345-space underground car park in Landsberg, West Germany is detailed. The project employed shotcreting of a 250 sq m X 180m-long cavern in soft ground conditions in a hill known as the Schlossberg, part of which served as a bomb shelter.
