ALTERNATIVE P-DELTA METHOD FOR PRESTRESSED MEMBERS SUBJECTED TO AXIAL LOAD AND BENDING
An alternative method for calculating the P-delta effect in prestressed members subjected to applied axial load and bending moments is introduced. The method is an extension of a recently proposed P-delta approach for sway structures designed to load and resistance factor principiles. A number of examples are used to illustrate the new technique.
