THE TELEVISION PROGRAM "THE OUDENRIJN FAMILY" II. EVALUATION OF THE SECOND SERIES OF EIGHT TELEVISION PROGRAMMES
HET TELEVISIEPROGRAMMA "FAMILIE OUDENRIJN" II. EVALUATIE VAN DE TWEEDE SERIE VAN ACHT AFLEVERINGEN
The second series of the television program oudenrijn was shown in april/may 1988. The aim of the series was to stimulate road users to improve their behaviour. It was hoped that the series would act as a medium for countermeasures. An evaluation of the series was made with respect to the number of viewers and their appreciation. The percentage of viewers who looked at the first series was 14%. Only 7% looked at the second series. Children especially watched the program, (about 35%). Driver safety appreciation remained unchanged, at 6.8%. A new series has been started. The organizer function is to be extended. The main actors now also work in other activities regarding traffic safety. (TRRL)
