FULL-SCALE FATIGUE TESTING OF COMPONENTS AND STRUCTURES
This book examines why full scale fatigue testing is necessary. Various examples of such testing are provided to show how it fits into the design and development process in a wide range of industries. Examples are provided of the testing of aircraft, vehicle components and systems, railway components, artillery guns, offshore structures, bridges, cranes, ropes, gas turbine components and nuclear power plant structures. For abstracts of the papers on bridge fatigue see IRRD 826622 and 826623.
