APPROACH TO ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY PROBLEMS IN THE MOTOR VEHICLE
The article is broadly concerned with problems of electromagnetic compatibility in the motor vehicle. The two areas if interference emission from the vehicle and of equipment susceptibility are both considered. After redefining the situation with regard to standards and regulations essentially pertaining to electromagnetic radiation from the vehicle, the current limits and future outlook are discussed. The prospects in terms of vehicle and equipment susceptibility are considered. Current methods of testing the vehicle as a whole are described. Then there is a very succinct, non-exhaustive list of related or supplementary methods of testing the equipment itself.
