NUMERICAL MODELLING OF PILE BEHAVIOUR UNDER LOW-STRAIN INTEGRITY TESTING. PROCEEDINGS OF THE SIXTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON NUMERICAL METHODS IN GEOMECHANICS, 11-15 APRIL 1988, INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA. VOLUMES 1 - 3
This article describes a numerical computer model for pile integrity analysis. The applications of the method for: (a) identifying pile defects; (b) distinguishing between pile defects; (c) quantification of the pile defect (for example, the amount of necking); and (d) shape and integrity analysis by curve fitting; are illustrated. Some of the weaknesses of the method are also described. (TRRL)
