An analytical model with simplicity is presented for evaluating the volumetric change and dissipation of pore pressure during drained cyclic triaxial tests on a highly plastic marine clay. It is suggested from the analytical results that the model proposed should be a clue to predict the deformation, settlement and stability of soft clay under long-term cyclic loading. (Author/TRRL)
