A CYCLIC VISCOPLASTIC CONSTITUTIVE MODEL FOR CLAY. PROCEEDINGS OF THE SIXTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON NUMERICAL METHODS IN GEOMECHANICS, 11-15 APRIL 1988, INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA. VOLUMES 1 - 3
A cyclic elasto-viscoplastic constitutive model is derived based on the overstress type viscoplasticity theory and the non-associated flow rule. Special attention is concentrated on the random cyclic loadings. The hardening function is extended in order to describe the behavior under cyclic loadings. The proposed theory is applied for the triaxial cyclic tests of silty overconsolidated clay. (Author/TRRL)
