APPLICATION OF COMPOSITE SYNTHETIC DRAINS IN THE RENOVATION OF CONCRETE ROADS. WORKING DAYS ON ROAD ENGINEERING 1988: PART 1: FLOW I DESIGN - MAINTENANCE - MANAGEMENT, CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS, EDE, NETHERLANDS, 26-27 MAY 1988
TOEPASSING VAN KUNSTSTOF DRAINS BIJ DE RENOVATIE VAN BETONWEGEN
Modern composite synthetic drains are being used frequently as joint filler/in-joint drains in the renovation of concrete roads. Insufficiently free draining subbases cause water to be impounded in and under the expansion joints with the result that repeated freeze/thaw cycles may seriously damage the road surface near the joints. Composite strip drains constitute a cost-effective solution to this problem. (TRRL)
