ONTWIKKELING VAN EEN STRUCTURELE WAARDEPARAMETER

In this paper a procedure is presented to predict the residual structural lives of full depth asphalt pavements using falling weight deflection measurements. This procedure has been developed from a correlation study of the currently used determination of the residual structural life of the state highway network by the state roads and hydraulics division, and the analyses of falling weight deflection measurements. Discriminant analyses have been used to determine which deflection parameters are the best indicators of the residual structural life. Evaluation of the procedure has revealed that only highway segments with residual structural lives of more than four years can be selected reliably. (Author/TRRL)
