SKIDDING
The article notes that skids are generlly caused by too much speed. Sudden turns, locking the wheels while braking, or sudden acceleration may cause the car to skid. To avoid winter skids, drive slowly, slow down for turns or curves in the road and always watch for changing road surfaces. The article describes action that should be taken during a rear wheel skid with a rear wheel drive, a rear-wheel skid with a front wheel drive, and a front wheel skid.
