HELSINKI EXPANDS TO EAST AND WEST
Helsinki chose heavy rail over light rail to serve its people. Although construction plans for extensions will cover a five-year period in some instances, the long term payoffs will be worth it. Line expansions and rolling stock as well as problems with vandalism and graffiti are discussed.
