A LOOK AT WHAT SOME STATES ARE DOING... STUDENTS ON ROAD TO ADVANCED DEGREE; TEXAS PAYS TOLL
A new program at the Texas State Department of Highways and Public Transportation is described, in which students earn their master's degree in Civil Engineering on the Department's time and expense. The program sends employees to the University of Texas and Texas A&M University. There they combine coursework with involvement in one of the cooperative research studies carried out for the department by transportation centers at the universities.
