HOW TO BETTER YOUR COMMUTE AND REDUCE TRAFFIC
The article notes that the better way to reduce traffic congestion is by better management of highway demand, and an effective method of managing traffic demand is by managing commuters' driving habits. A 2-year Connecticut Department of Transportation program called RIDE TOGETHER CONNECTICUT-ITS THE BEST WAY TO WORK is noted. Arguments to use in persuading commuters to ride together are listed: stress reduction; saving money; staying flexible; pollution reduction.
