GUIDE TO FEDERAL REGULATORY AGENCIES
This section of the Commercial Carrier Journal provides a directory of federal regulatory agencies of interest to motor carriers. Included are explanations of the functions of some key agencies and their sub-agencies. Listed are heads of each agency and department for reference. For most queries, it is suggested that staff people (also listed) be contacted, since they do the day-to-day work and are better prepared to help than the agency leaders who are concerned more with policy and administration than with the nuts-and-bolts questions.
