KNOWLEDGE-ELICITATION STUDY IN CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULING DOMAIN
This paper discusses aspects of the knowledge-acquisition process, and describes the means used to synthesize the operational knowledge needed to perform scheduling criticism from an owner's viewpoint. The process of extracting, articulating, and synthesizing construction schedule knowledge are covered. Three knowledge acquisition techniques are described: textbook scheduling knowledge; interviews with schedulers; and observing human performance on specific problems.
