KNOWLEDGE-BASED PROTOTYPE FOR IMPROVING SCHEDULING PRODUCTIVITY
The development of a protoype KBES (knowledge-based expert systems) for planning and scheduling building construction projects is outlined, and its usefulness as an expert assistant for novice project scheduler on small reinforced concrete building projects is evaluated. Development of this prototype would enable its application to larger projects within a broade construction domain. Details of the system development, system testing and evaluation are described.
