LPG-BUSES. TESTS IN STOCKHOLM AND MALMOE
MOTORGASDRIVNA STADSBUSSAR. PROV I STOCKHOLM OCH MALMOE
This is a report from tests of lpg-buses with otto-converted engines. The purpose of the tests was to investigate if and to what extent the exhaust emissions could be reduced. Six buses were tested, three naturally aspirated scanias and three turbocharged volvos. When the buses were converted at tno in the Netherlands the expected improvement regarding exhaust emissions was not achieved and an initial optimization was necessary. Measurements during the test showed that exhaust emission improvements were limited. (TRRL)
