ULTIMATE SHEAR AND TORSION STRENGTH DESIGN BY MEANS OF A COMPUTER

The article describes the basic principles of the ultimate strength design of reinforced concrete structures subjected to shear forces and torsional moment. It gives the theoretical basis of a simplified procedure for the determination of lateral and longitudinal reinforcement according to the new yugoslav code on concrete. The prearm computer program based on this simplified procedure has been designed. (TRRL)
