FINDING (AND FIXING) FAULTS
Two track maintenance methods, the Pandrol Panlogger which employs vibration technique to assess tie condition of wooden crossties and the Timbershield rod, which uses fused anhydrous boron inserted into a tie which dissolves and attacks decay and can preserve the wood for five years are discussed.
