PRAIRIE MOTIF SAVES ON MAINTENANCE, COSTS. ROADSIDE MANAGEMENT '90
The Kansas City Airport corridor uses native plants to maintain a 'naturalized' setting in the long, open landscape entrance to the Kansas City International Airport. It also aids in controling erosion and controling existing wildlife. Emphasis is placed on plants for their ability to add color, form, and texture. All plants were chosen for their compatibility for surviving and flourishing in the existing environment. Use of native plants helped save costs.
