In order to supplement revenue for its Section 18 program, the Accessible County Transportation System (ACTS) in Mobile, Alabama explored three possible alternatives. Using its buses as advertising vehicles as well as transport vehicles proved to be the most cost effective and rewarding. The project uses magnetic sign materials which can easily be replaced as contractors and/or their needs change, six month renewable contracts, and continuing sales efforts which have proven to be most successful. Costs of the operation as well as revenues generated are given.
