SCANIA TO BEGIN FIELD TESTING ON MODIFIED CITY-BUS ENGINES
Efforts to lower emissions undertaken by Scania in the form of engine modifications to city buses will be put to the test early this year. Using ethanol engines with a catalytic exhaust cleaner in one group of buses and diesel engines with a catalytic exhaust cleaner in others, these two represent attempts to lower the emission level for buses in line with the 1990s worldwide dictates.
