APPROACH FOR TESTING FUEL-CELL/BATTERY HYBRID POWER SOURCES FOR BUS APPLICATIONS
The principal objectives of this report are: to describe an approach and outline general procedures for safe operation and testing of fuel cell/battery hybrid power sources, to discuss likely criteria for evaluating the system performance and relative merits of such power sources in a transportation application, and to describe the expected configuration and operation of the specific power sysytems now under development for the Department of Energy (DOE) sponsored transit bus program.
