PRELIMINARY STUDY FOR A DEMONSTRATION PROJECT WITH NATURAL GAS AND BIOGAS FUELED BUSES

In order to give natural gas a position as an alternative fuel in Sweden it should be clear that an optimized engine configuration could meet demands for significantly reduced exhaust emissions. The report tells, after a number of contacts, that it could be worth developing engines for use of natural gas. Technical optimization and changes are supposed to be available in order to reach low emission levels. An R and D project should also include the development of a tanksystem and infrastructure such as filling stations.
